Anybody successful got rid of the stickers on the lower right part of the Sony Vaio Z2?

I peeled off the Vaio black sticker with the specs but have a hard time to peel off the other stickers. Peeled off the Win 7 stubborn sticker but left some mark on the lappy. I am afraid to use detergents as they could hard the laptop finish.

Use the sticker to remove the left over goo. Press and remove a few times it should peel off cleanly! (Credit goes to someone else here, I'm at a loss to remember.)

I used (on my SC and SA, I dunno if this applies to the Z2) a flathead screwdriver to get a corner up, then pliers to remove the rest of the sticker. The residue, I just rub off with my fingers.

As for scratches, I'm very careful, so no scratches at all :) Though I've been told I have good digital dexterity... (in addition to playing piano :p).

I have a laminated piece of paper and used that to get a corner of the sticker up. Then I would gently peel and get the rest of the goo off with the sticker itself. I got all of them off no problem and no residue.

Thanks guys but I only managed to peel of the main Sony black sticker, the one which has the specs on. The other smaller ones I couldn't just peel off as I could normally do with other laptop models. Maybe due to the finish of the Z2 models the stickers are more stubborn than when on other surfaces.
Are you guys sure you tried to do that on the Z2 model?

i used an X-acto knife, sliding the sharp blade extremely carefully under the stubborn labels to raise a corner so i could grab it with my fingers. like i said, i was very careful and did not scratch the finish of my SA.

Yea, another one of these threads

There's nothing special or different about the Z2's stickers.

Pull up one corner with your fingernail. Work on the sticker only, don't dig.
Use the sticker itself to remove any remaining goop

I removed all stickers this way (palm rest and on the under carriage)

Use a hair drier to heat up the stickers for a minute, much easier to remove residue comes off with stickers.

Use other stickers to cover them over.

Lol! Wouldn't this just compound the problem with strange bumps under the sticker? :p

o.0 Somehow, I think a screwdriver or razer would be less damaging to the notebook skin :p

All I'll say is that the Z2 palmrest is significantly more delicate than the Z1's. Be careful.

I like the gum because I'm low-tech. Besides, the psychiatric social worker suggested I not play with sharp objects.

Huh? The plastic was very soft. There were several people who borked the palm rest by rubbing on it.

Well yes, in terms of long-term abrasion wear, sure. I just had less problems taking an exacto knife to the Z1 vs the Z2 to remove the decal.

^ reason why using an exacto isn't the best method. Really isn't necessary.

I found that the lower right corners were easier to work with than the lower left ones.
