I have Sony VPCZ1290X and I am trying to figure out how to disable/prevent mouse from waking up my laptop.

I tried unchecking "Allow this device to wake the computer" box of the mouse driver, but that didn't do the trick. The laptop still wakes up from sleep when I move the mouse even if the laptop's lid is closed.

I from time to time forget to turn-off mouse and it wakes up the computer inside of my laptop bag, and that waste battery and also the laptop gets really hot in the bag.

Does anyone know the trick to solve this issue?

Is your mouse RF wireless or BT?

The mouse is wireless but not bluetooth. It's Logitech Anywhere MX. I've tried other types of mouse too, and that didn't make difference.

Disabling "Allow this device to wake the computer" should do the trick.

I have the same laptop and mouse, so I can try it on mine and see. Are you using Windows 7 64-bit?

Can't you just pull out the dongle for transport?

It would be great if you can let me know the result. I am using Win 7 64bit.
I tried disabling "Allow thsi device to wake the computer", but didn't work for me.

Well.. I can just turn off the mouse as the mouse has the switch. The point is that I forget it from time to time and that makes the lapto wakes up while it is in my laptop bag.

    Dear jetz9335,

You just solved an terrible issue for me. Thenk you a lot!!!

Yes with HID keyboard "Allow to to wakeup" unchecked as well the mouse one, the mouse doesn't wake up the laptop. Which is much more user friendly.

    Kirill
