    How to retain brightness setting on FE21S?

    Hello all, Does anyone know if there is a way of retaining the screen brightness setting on an FE21S? I find that after many operations, e.g. starting up, coming out of hibernation, switching user, etc. the brightness setting switches to full. I am regularly having to turn down the brightness and wonder if there is a way of retaining the setting? Could not see anything in Control Panel/Display for this.

    my fe comes with sony power managment (available through power optins on control panel). It effectively sets my brightness levels while plugged in and/or while on battery. I found the "smartdimmer" on the nvidia control panel to be very erratic. I would definitly recommend the sony power management tool if you have it.

    Right, you can adjust this behavior in Vaio Power Management. You probably have set it to a specific level when plugged in/on battery. Just set them to "No Change" and your brightness setting will retain.
