After I have recovered my VAIO SZ484N, I get the application recovery right after I get into Vista, if I click cancel, it will keep on starting everytime I restart and I can't get rid of it nor did I see any file at startup that's intializing the Application Recovery Process?

What I want to do is recover my laptop so I would have an activated version of Vista Business with all the drivers, but not install all the bloatware from SONY?

How to totally disable that application recovery after the initial OS recovery?

Look for the semi-clean install threads here. Use the search box at the top of the page.

What the hell is your problem? You don't like my threads don't freakin' enter! There are other people who might wanna help! Does it make your balls smaller to help me? I did use the search and didn't find anything about this! I just need a quick answer to my question! If i'm gonna search and read might as well use google than asking on a message board!

I don't think so. If you don't want any sony installed bloatware go for a clean install.

The real question is what the hell is YOUR problem. I told you specifically how to find the info you needed. Then when this is pointed out again you attack the poster. Then another user showed you that the info I provided would readily yield the results you needed. If you had trouble with the serarch why not say so, rather than just bumping the thread?

You know what, maybe you WOULD be better off using Google. You aren't going to find much help here with such an atttitude.

    1) you and your pointless threads that have been answered before...such as your "what does TPM do?" thread!!

    2) if you look around, you'll see than I actually help a lot of people on here, but I cant stand daft folk, folk that act like knobs, or folk that ask the same question that has been answered before!

    3) why didn't you say that...then we might have given you a direct link!

    4) thats what google is for! these forums (and pretty much all others) are to help people that cant find answers elsewhere! what the hell is the point in asking for help if you know the answers are on google! Its cos your a lazy ****...that why!

And im not the only one who thinks this...see above!

    someone LEASE FOR GODS SAKE.

type or copy/paste the answer! I can't find it!!!

After C is recovered, and u boot into the desktop for the first time, the application recovery still wants to continue installing the bloatware, i want to stop it for ever and never have it show up again! but it keeps insisting on installing the bloatware as it loads everytime i restart! i couldn't find it's entry in the autorun or services! someone please tell me how to stop it from showing up each time.

I also notice, which it's showing up, the recovery partition is viewable from MY COMPUTER, but once it installs and restarts the recovery partition remains hidden for good.

In message number 6 in this thread you were given a link to the thread on the proper way to do a semi-clean install. How much more explicit would you like it???

    Maximus777,

You know you REALLY need to loose the attitude.

If you paid closer attention you would see in my signature line that I am the author of the instructions for doing a clean install, I am NOT the semi-clean install guy. I was trying to help you out by pointing you to the directions for a semi-clean install. Instructions, mind you, that are TESTED on the very model you have. If you are having trouble, it is because you haven't completely followed the directions provided in the other thread. If you think you have followed them, then you need to ask in the other thread. But if you do that, get the chip off your shoulder first. Because until you do, I for one am finished trying to help you out.

when the install begins hit ctrl alt delete to open the task manager and end the launcher.exe proces from there.

your laptop will then restart itself.

You really need to take this up with Ninja Noodles in the other thread, he wrote the instructions and is infinitely more familiar with the specifics. But, it sounds to me like you stopped the process at the wrong point. I think you let it go to far. You might need to start over again and follow Ninja's instructions. I know that other folks have had difficulty with determining exactly where to stop the process (and how). But again you need to enlist NinjaNoodles help.

Have you tried opening the Task Scheduler from the Search Bar and deleting the "Vaio Application Recovery" task?
