As the subject says, how to turn off monitor on vaio FZ? On my old HP laptop there is button close to the hinge, which when pressed turns of the screen, So basically when you close the lid, it turns off the screen. Is there a similar thing on vaio, because its better to turn off the screen when the lid is closed and not putting into sleep mode. Also, on HP there is an option under "Power options" to specify what happens when you close the lid, and you can specify just to turnoff the screen without going into hibernation. Sony Vaio doesn't seem to offer that option. Is it win XP feature?
