    How to update firmware in anew clean copy of windows?

    i have a Sony aw290 laptop and i have install anew clean windows
    but when i try to update any firmware update its give error is there is away to do that with out reinstalling the original operation system ?

    What kind of error did you get?
    Which firmware you are trying to install?
    Have you successfully installed the firmware when the hard drive still had the original configuration?
    Firmware, unlike software updates, only needs to be installed once regardless of how many times you reinstall the OS.

    If you already updated the firmware successfully before, there is no need to do it again. Firmware is embedded in the hardware and not depending on the software installed in your hard drive.

    Tip: to see if you have the latest firmware, run Roxio Easy Media Creator, Tools -> Disc Information and the firmware revision should be listed.

    i have update the firmware before when i was on the orginal vista home

    but after i install anew copy of ultimate vista anew firmware was updated and when i try to update i cant
