Hi guys, I'm trying to install the latest driver for my Geforce 9300M card. But when I find the driver dowload page from the Nvidia site, they invariably state that...

The Sony site does NOT contain drivers for the gfx card.

    Any ideas??

Then leave it be. Sony will offer devices updates when it deems necessary.

    cheers ...

Many of the Vaio notebooks run graphic adapters in hybrid mode (have you noticed "stamina - speed" switch?). There are no drivers available for such solution at Nvidia site.

Sony site (vaio-link.com) provides both originally pre-installed and updated drivers for almost every Vaio model.

The issue is that I'm not getting any sound over HDMI output with the current version of my driver on Windows 7. I've seen users around the 'Net say they solved this problem by downloading and installing a newer version of the driver.

    That's the impetus for this.

Anyway Sony hasn't issued any driver updates so I guess I will have to simply wait.

    Greetings,
I cannot answer specifically for your individual card, but have you checked out the laptopvideo2go web site? Sony have not issued drivers for my AR31S for...ages. With a modified inf file I can and do use the latest drivers on my W7 installation.

laptopvideo2go.com/ is your best bet for updated drivers. I've checked once a month for two years for updated drivers for my Vaio, but zilch.

The "Dox's Customized" are what I use the majority of the time.

Sony and updated driver = dream :)

At least that is my experience with my SZ - there was something for Audio, a new Smart Wi-Fi utility...
And the new LAN driver fails to instal...

    But graphics - none...

Go through and try what previous posters have said.
Truth is Sony does not release new drivers very often and chances are if they making one it is due a specific fault of some sort. They won't release drivers just to increase gaming performance for example.
