I just received my Vaio Z, booted it up and everything works fine. However, I was wondering how one would go about upgrading the hdd. Currently my hdd is 200gb and I have a 320 Scorpio ready to go. I was reading this http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=274083 thread where Philflow mentioned that the basic operation was to remove the keyboard, however this is the first Vaio I have ever owned and would greatly appreciate any further elaboration.

it shoudl be there in the manual . right?

Sadly, Sony opted to not make the hard drive update an easy process by not including an easy was to access the hard drive besides removing the keyboard. Also the only upgrade in the manual I saw was for the ram. Never the less thanks for your reply.

yeah, im wondering the same thing..

Yes, it will work. The HDD Protection is software based that hooks into an accelerometer built in to the laptop.
