Hi all, I have a Sony Vaio S 15.5 SVS151290X. I installed a Samsung 830 256GB SSD and running Windows 8 Pro. I only see one physical slot to install only one SSD in the back of the laptop, so how can one install 2 SSD's in RAID 0?? Thanks

It requires dual SATA ports cable and caddy for Sony propriety SSD which can only be purchased from Sony Parts Store if you know their part numbers.

So where would the 2nd Sony SSD be installed? Or can a single SSD act as two drives?

SVS15 supports SSD drive as found in VAIO Z2 and SVZ.
    You will need:
    A-1882-414-A V130 SUBASSY BRACKET SSD 2CON
    A-1883-397(8)-A V130 FPC SSD 2CH
and of course the SSD which is now hard to find even though it was sold on amazon for $300 for 512GB (256GBx2)

So is that a bracket that holds 2 Sony SSD's of 256GB each and thru the dual port SATA cables can be configured as RAID0? Or is it a single 512GB SSD? What is the Amazon link for the drive/s?

The bracket holds just 1 SSD which is containing 2 physical drives.
I don't have the old link now but here is P/N of the drive
    MZRPC512HBFU-000 or MZRPC512HAFU-000

I never saw a single SSD that contains inside 2 physical drives. It must be a Sony proprietary one.

If you run benchmark, you can see transfer rate doubled in RAID0.
However, in SATA3, real life performance is hard to notice between regular SATA3 and RAID0 SATA3 even though benchmark numbers are significantly different.
