Do any stores actually carry these in stock? Best Buy doesn't have them and I haven't been able to locate them at Sears, Staples, Office Depot, etc.

I would like to see it in person before ordering.

I'm located in OKC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think of those retailers you said only Best Buys sells them, however, after going on Best Buy online, i looked at in-store availability.... and there's nothing around the OKC area... Do you have any Circuit Cities, Fry's Electronics or Microcenters around there? I can't think of any other retailer that carries the Z... In any case, you can always order the Z then return it if it doesn't blow your mind. (or just watch a TON of youtube videos about it)

Yeah it might be a long drive to a Fry's or Sony Style shop. If you're taking the family out on a weekend trip then set a detour on the GPS :)

Other than that if you can find a Sony Y-series locally, the Z looks/feels similar but the Z's footprint is noticeable smaller and the Z is faster due to the SSD and has better graphics (and better WEI score if you are the one that looks in System page often). The Z is lighter than the Y too.

If you can find a Toshiba R700/R705 laptop there, the Z is similar in weight, ie. both are super lightweight. Size is about similar too but the Z is about 1/2 inch less (smaller) from front to back. If you put both the R700 and the Z side-by-side with the LCD up (90 degree with the desk), the Z's screen is noticeably lower and you can see more of the desk/table or person across from you when you're in a conference room.

If you boot up the Z it'll be much faster than both of those laptops (due to the SSD). When using it for anything or starting applications it's fast and snappy - you'd be thrilled! If you compare the screen with others, the Z of course wins (beautiful and accurate colors), has thin profile plus there're plenty of pixels on this nice 1600x900 screen.

    have fun. bye.
