There's no option in Vaio Control Centre anymore that allows you the laptop to wake from sleep when the lid gets opened.
Is there a solution to get this done?

Good question, if anyone has answer to this, I'd like to hear it.

This will probably not help you, but on the Z1 in VCC under Power Management there is a "Lid Settings" selection that enables you to control what happens when you open and close the lid on battery and AC power.

Assuming you checked for that and it is missing in the Z2 (like the setting for the backlight to stay on for the keyboard - what were they thinking?!!) - then I'm thinking you need one of the NBR Sony Forum Registry Hack Experts to point the way. Good luck.

For the life of me, I don't know what genius Z2 product design engineer at Sony looked at the convenient features of the Z1 and decided, "nah, no need for that!"
