It took me a lot of time to unlock my Z2 WWAN for use with any operator as there is no step-by-step guide so I decided to post my successful experience here in a step-by-step guide. Any comments or suggestion for improvement the guide are warmly welcome. I'm not sure if all the steps are required (especially 2-4), but I will post all I did.

    1. Install WWAN drivers from Sony : VPCZ21X9E/B updates | Download updates for VPCZ21X9E B | VPCZ21X9EB
    2. Install VAIO Smart Network from same source.
    3. Install GOBI 3000 SDK https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobi...es/3g4g-connectivity-gobi/tools-and-resources . A few helpful notes on how to install: https://developer.qualcomm.com/forum/qdevnet-forums/3g4g-connectivity-gobi/12786
    4. Launch GOBI 3000 Connection Manager and load GENERIC FIRMWARE for your modem or the firmware of the operator from the list you intend to use.
    5. Install OneClick Internet (WWAN CONNECTION MANAGER) from http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VPCZ21X9E_B/downloads
    6. Launch OneClick Internet with any SIM installed and connect to the Internet!

P.S. Not all operators are working correctly though. I couldn't make it work with Philippines operators SMART and Globe.
