    Hello people!

    Pls bear with my curiosity...

Anybody know how much punishment our laptop AC adapters (a.k.a. "power bricks") can endure?

Mine has fallen from all tables known to man & even took a dive through a flight of stairs... accidentally, of course...

Anything I should be concerned about?

Are these "power bricks" designed such that the devices & chips inside are molded into one heap? Or is it designed like an AVR where devices are just enclosed inside a casing?

Will appreciate anything anyone has to say...

    Tnx!

there are no moving parts in there as far as I know, transformers are pretty **** solid. I think you should be more conderned with the heat it produces.

The bricks usually are pretty robust. However, be careful with the "bulb" right before the jack, which has graphite in it and that might break easily. It will still function broken, I believe that "bulb" serves to minimize interference from other nearby power sources (I am definitely not sure on this, any expert knowledge is appreciated).
