    Take in these factors

    Performance
    Quality (hardware/parts/etc)
    Customer service
    tech support (any service depots)
    Value
    Build quality
    Screen
    Keyboard feel
Bundled software (what came with it)
    Resell value
    Longevitiy
And if you would buy another VAIo in the future or go with another brand.

This guy's all over the place - he posted in the Apple forums saying he got a new MacBook Pro, IN ADDITION to his other two notebooks. And to top it all off, he said he's getting another one Friday...

you'ld think a commercial research agent trawling the forums would use a different name for his brand work really - wouldn't you?

hm.. at the moment i am still trying to get mine running properly,
so i can't vote yet.. it feels horrible to have a laptop for almost
a week and not being able to do anything with it apart from try-
    ing to fix problems.

neenee, I tried a clean install too, had driver problems, eventually gave up and did a partial restore. Painless, and no bloatware...

    partial restore didn't work here either - there's a
    problem with the soundcard drivers / hardware;
i have a thread about it, but i won't talk about it
here, i don't want to hijack this thread.

good to hear people like their vaios :)

If the battery lived up to the initial claims this would be a perfect 10 lappy. Still, it is a great machine. The screen on the 160 is just fantastic!
