Hands-on photos of Sony’s Vaio concept notebooks from CES 2012

Doesn't seem like Sony's showing much at this year's CES as far as Vaios are concerned. I could only find these concepts there. Does anyone have more info on these comps? Is that Hybrid thing a successor to the P?

Any vague ideas as to when the Z3 will come out?

CES 2012 sure is a lot quieter on these forums compared to CES 2011 where there was a ton of Z speculation and we were instead met with the introduction of the SA/SB, CA, F 3D, Y, and L computers. I don't think Sony's announced anything this year.

Z3 should come (as rumored in Z3 thread) with W8, so I would say fall 2012, although not sure if it would differ much from Z2 approach (aside from Ivy and W8).

You noticed it too? :) Almost no news from Sony at CES, or maybe they're keeping things top secret?

    Cheers,
    Miki

The Ultrabook is a nice design though not much different from Z2/SA.

Anyways I am really more interested in the VAIO with BRAVIA technology integrated. Unfortunately Kaz Hirai only mentioned it and there were no pics or even prototypes I guess. :(

Maybe the "zish" Ultrabook is 11,6 inch and the successor of the X or the TT?

I think Sony will run a cheap Ultrabookline and the expensive professional Z series together...

Anyway I see on the UB no Lightpeak port for a docking station so I think it will be with only gma3000 and SB ULV!

An IB Z23 is more likely than a Z3, i.e., expect a processor bump-up before a complete redesign.

That makes sense. There's still nothing on the market or even a prototype that matches the Z's specs.

I don't see that anyone posted a pic of the Tablet P yet so here goes. What's notable is that it should work on AT&T's 4G network.

Also of note, a high-end pair of noize-canceling earbuds. Perfect given the Z's rather...nominal speakers.

Expect them next month for a mere $500.
