Ok, i have a sony Vaio, and i love it, im getting 2 1G sticks DDR for it, vista isn't my favorite part of it. However, on my keyboard, i have to use a sort of shift button to control volume and the brightness, the "Fn" Key, but it doesn't want to work sometimes, i have my laptop unlugged and i would like to turn the brightness up on my LCD but it isn't working, am i missing something? or is my button broken?

And for my DDR, im looking on newegg, and i found some Kingston DDR, its nice, 800mhz, but idk if its compatable with my laptop, anyone know a way to find out besides opening my laptop?

    Appreciate any help!

    Thanks!

You did not say which Vaio you had - but don't spend the money on 800mhz memory, just stick to the PC5300, 667mhz.

As for your FN key problem, what other aps have you installed - or uninstalled?

im 17 years old, the only thing ive doen with my laptop is install photoshop, Marcromedia flash, and i update it. but i havent installed any apps.

i have an NR series vaio, not sure of the model

and the reason i was going for the 800mhz was because its only $21 on newegg
