Hi guys i hope we are all well.

I need help with my new notebook, i purchased the above laptop yesterday it came preinstalled with windows vista home. All seems fine but the motion camera is not working. I really need help sorting this out because its getting annoying.

My laptop came preloaded with everything so i was not given any cd's. I have checked the device manager and next to imaging devices it says the Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC8 is working properly. So i think i have the drivers. However i cant see the software to use the camera anywhere on here.

Please can so one be so kind and help.

    Thanks.

You should have an app in Programs called Vaio Camera Capture Utility. Does the camera work when you run this app?

It comes pre-installed. Did you delete some software? You should be able to restore these from your recovery DVDs. You did make a recovery DVD set didn't you?

Try - Help and Support - Backup and Recovery - Restore Files Wizard. If the pre-installed software is in your recovery partition, this should bring up a list of programs and you can reinstall the one(s) you want.
