I broke my SVT15115CXS and now it won't boot. I could use some help.

    Long story short,
I didn't like how Win8 was running on this machine and I decided that I wanted to make a dual boot with Win7 out of it.
Of course, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and tried it anyways.
As you can imagine this didn't go well. Win 7 installation never finished and now the machine won't boot anymore with "Operating System Not Found"
I deleted the partition I created and I think the partitions are the way they have been.

I tried to fix BCD etc. to no avail. I am in way over my head.

I believe that all the data on the partitions are intact and maybe I need to fix MBR's ?

Can someone first explain to me what each partition is and which one is actually the one I need to boot from ?

Sorry for being vague, my head is spinning right now...

I don't care about data loss as I have important things backed up. Can I wipe this whole drive (SSD or HDD) and make a Win7 machine out of this?

If not, what are the steps to get this back to running like it was before?

    Thanks in advance !!

Googling that error message find various solutions, like make sure the drive has a drive letter assigned to it, or check your Bios boot order. And this link Fixing the Windows Bootloader via the setup DVD

If that doesn't help, try googling your error message, just paste the whole thing in.

This is probably a UEFI thing. New Windows 8 machines usually come with the new UEFI BIOS which older OSs have problems with. You could turn off UEFI boot in the BIOS (if such an option is available - Sony is notorious for hiding useful things in the BIOS) and then Windows 7 should install normally. Please use this tip to guide you in further research - I don't have this UEFI BIOS and have never worked with it myself, so get some firm info before you take the plunge.
