Ok, this is REALLY REALLY weird.

I just got my vaio Z 30 mins before I start this thread.

    Story goes like this;
at first as you guys know, I settled for TZ.
And then due to the recall incident and unreliable source, I
decided to get the TT instead.

Now, here's where it goes funny.
The TT and the Z are considered as a faily new release
in Jakarta. It was just released 2 days ago which is why I
    nearly settled for a TZ.

I just got the news yesterday that the TT is out.
Lots of people have been advising me to just try BOTH TZ and the TT and see which one I like in terms of design. I know some who'd go for TZ because it looks nicer and I know some who goes for TT which has a higher spec.

Today, I 'nearly' got a TT.
I felt it, I touched it, I typed on it. It also has the gold color which I really like. Then I took out my credit card and before I pay, I decided to 'feel' the TT once again. Everything changes the moment I poped the 'supposed to be HDMI compartment' in the TT. There is no HDMI at all! In Jakarta, they released the TT version that has the stupid ethernet and modem connection! *** is this! (I really don't understand what Sony is trying to pull)

I do need the HDMI as I have a big HDTV at home and I thought it'll be sweet to just use that when I'm not outside. Then this thing happens -_-! In the end I just got a Z (I know that Z's battery is strong as well)

So yeah, I am a proud owner of Z guys.
I would really like to thank everyone in this forum who have helped me clerify a lot of doubts! You guys ROCK!

    Grats!

Unless Dell's rumored Studio XPS 13 is incredible, I'm probably going to be a Z owner in the near future myself!

It probably has a 20 gig recovery partition, and then some of your OS and programs and formatting take up some also.

    It's normal.
Most of time you buy a hard drive or memory card, you don't see the advertised size. You will see less from you computer. It has nothing to do with recovery partition.
For a 2GB SD card, computer will show you 1.86GB
I have a 320GB hard drive too. The total size it shows me is 298GB.
The recovery partition takes up 6.81 GB. Not 20GB.

I went back and have a check again!
I'm very sure there's no HDMI on the TT.
So strange, I think sony really sold the crappy version to Asia!

Also for the Z, apparently the stock is crap.
Like, mine is practically the 1st and LAST stock that i bought!

If anyone else in Jakarta wanted to get the Z, they'd have
to settle for the DISPLAY set which is uhhh, other then the fact that it has been laminated with kid's saliva or other people's finger which may be full of crap, pretty scratched up as well -_-
