You can buy acronis disk director and make the partition.
Then buy acronis true image to make new recovery discs that will reflect your new format.

The softwares not cheap of course :)

Setup the partitions with a program like gparted. If your SZ restore disks are similar to my FW290's disks you should have the option of restoring only the C: drive. I haven't tried it myself but it should work.

is there anybody has the instructions of using Acronis software ??
someone in my country told me if i use Acronis , the drives will not change even after recovering ... someone in this topic do so ...

one strange matter occurs for me ... this laptop has a original XP recovery DVD ... I changed it's vista to XP and something bad happened ... the quality of the volume of sound decreased too much as when i listened music i had to increase it's volume up to the end ... but in vista i had not this problem ...

I used Paragon Partition Manager 9.0 to resize the Drive C partition and create Drive D. But before you use paragon, Do the following first to consolidate the free space and to maximize the resizing of partition.
    1. Defrag your Drive C.
    2. Disable the SYSTEM RESTORE (click this how to disable system restore--> http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-system-restore-in-windows-vista/
    3. Reboot the laptop.
    4. After reboot RUN Paragon Partition Manager.

If you buy acronis true image 11 you can either -

create an image on disk and use that to recover, or create a safety partition to boot from with the same software.
