...and I really wish I hadn't. The laptop itself seems decent, but the track pad is so horrible that doing simple tasks take so much longer there was no point getting newer hardware than my old Toshiba L300. It's so unresponsive, and who thought making a trackpad that isn't smooth was a good idea??

    Anyway...just a few quick questions.

First of all, how do you get a proper BIOS on it (i.e. something more than setting a password)? I mean, how do I change SATA to compatibility mode? Without this, I assume I need to slipstream SATA drivers into the Windows XP disc?

Also, if I decide I later want to install Windows 7 is there a way to do this from the recovery drive (without all the bloat) and if, like I assume, you can't do that, I can just install Windows Home Premium from a disc and use the serial on my laptop right?

One more question, on the recovery drive, does it have all of the drivers on, and can I copy these off it onto another partition? Do I even need these though? My laptop came with Windows 7, does that mean the hardware will be fully supported?
