I think that deal is an OK deal. If you are doing Photoshop and video editing/conversion, you should have really opted for a better processor (like a Core 2 Duo). Depending on how much and what type of video you edit (1080p HD, etc), Photoshop and video editing are really processor intensive since there are a lot of mathematical operations that need to be carried out in the algorithms. 1280x800 WXGA screen is too small of a resolution for me, but that's just personal preference. I think that it is difficult to have more than one window up on the screen at the same time at that resolution and there is a lot of side to side scrolling involved since many applications and webpages just don't look as good at the minimum resolution (especially those which aren't standards compliant).
I think you will be fine, though. Doesn't look like you are going to be gaming so you should be fine with this laptop. I hope that you enjoy your new laptop! -
I thought that model had a core 2 duo, guess not. I got the ns-150 and it is good so far, only problem is the mouse buttons are loud and I haven't been able to install XP yet, still working on it though.
I just purchased the Vaio VGN-NS135E/W...
