I ordered from Amazon yesterday and it arrived this morning. I'm still waiting for all the Vista "Starting for the first time" stuff to finish.

Nice little laptop so far. :D

    Any light leakage?

One day is pretty amazing! How much $ was for delivery?

Yeah, there seemed to be a little light leakage along the bottom of the screen when I was looking at the black setting up screen.

The overnight shipping was around $40.00.

There isn't as much crapware on this system as I was worried about. I'm going through and removing the AOL, Norton, Napster.

It came with spiderman 1/2 preloaded on it too. I've seen them both, so I'll delete them.

With the Spiderman movies, I'm pretty sure you have to pay to access them on the drive.

Yeah, they wanted $8.00 for each to watch the spider man movies. Ugh.

I'll take some photos when I get home and post them up here.

How is the a/c adaptor? I heard is smaller than the sz4xx and that it has a chromed vaio logo. Can you confirm this?

How long did the first boot take? Other reviewers claimed they had to abort it after waiting ~20 mins or more.

First boot was only about 10 minutes and the ac adapter is much smaller and lighter.

The AC adapter is smaller, I bought an extra adapter for my docking station and that adapter is about 30 percent larger than the one that came with my SZ.

I'll take some photos and post them.

The cord also has a 90 degree bend as it exits the adapter.

The first run did take quite a while, but I just let it run even when it looked like nothing was happening. No need to cancel anything.

I plan on traveling with whatever laptop I buy... backpacking Europe actually, so that small of an AC adapter would be nice.

Hmm... it's going to be very interesting seeing everyone's first impressions of the SZ6XX models.

Just recieved a few at the electronics store I work in. This model looks and feels better than the SZ4XX models.

    :D

This is good news. I would greatly appreciate a quick description of how it looks and feels better. I always found the sz4xx models a little "underwhelming" for build quality.

That's what the adapter is for, isn't it?
If you're too worried, you can buy little tiny surge protectors. You can get them for five dollars to twenty. Just check froogle.
