Control Panel -> Personalization (or Personalisation if you speak real English) -> Adjust font size (DPI)

No so much on an LCD panel. Things don't look right on LCD's when you don't have them set at their optimal res.

You can start by telling us which country you are from lol. Also how do you know that 1600x900 is the only resolution-models available?

If I were you, I'd just get it and adjust the DPI to make everything bigger. Things do pretty well with it, and supposedly Windows 7 will do even better at adjusting DPI nicely. That way ... no trying to buy a different model out of your country, messing with new parts/voiding a warranty, etc.

I had a 1600x900 and quickly returned it. I screwed with DPI before I did. It didn't help and it made some stuff not look right under Vista.

I like the Z I have now which is 1366x768. Much better.

I would just suck it up and get used to it. I can't imagine not having my 1600x900 res.

Once the DPI is set correctly, and the fonts adjusted down to a sensible point size, I can't imagine going back to a lower resolution display. The fonts are far more legible at the same physical size (especially serif fonts like Times and Garamond).
