    Hello, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-Ns235j

    I'm using windows 7 64x

I reformated my computer and now I have this problem.

I only want to use the external mic....and I want to turn off/mute the internal mic

I'm using my external mic to import sound that I am recording ....the problem is, my recording program hear both the external as well as internal sound.

I have already tried deactivating the mic, but this stops both the internal and external mics from working
I called Sony support and they want me to pay $25 for them to repair/fix the problem

I am broke....please help, and thanks in advance
