    hello,

On my Vaio SZ there is a I.S400 connection. Apparently it is sony's version of firewire. Is there an adapter for this to convert it to normal firewire?

is400 is a 4 pin firewire port. firewire (or IEEE 1394) comes in 4 pin and 6 pin. the cables to convert from 4 pin to 6 pin should be easy to find at any computer store.
