    Hey,
I have two problems right now with my laptop. First off everytime I boot up into windows, a few icons will not appear. They are the volume, Power, and the Protector Suite. Now the only way for these to reappear is to log off and log back on. It is quite an annoyance.

The other problem I have is with the touchpad scrolling with Firefox. I am able to scroll vertically, but cannot scroll horizontally. I already tried reinstalling the drivers. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks!

I just fixed the icon issue! Thanks to this website right here.

Scroll down to the The Ostuni Workaround and that should work. If not go to the next one right below that. I can't believe something simple like that made these icons dissapear.

Now for the Firefox problem.....

Is it possible to install Synaptics drivers to replace the Alps driver on this laptop? The fix seems to be to have the synaptics drivers.
