I have been looking at buying a TZ from Japan and importing it to the US. Has anyone else done this and what amount did you pay on duties? I have gotten various answers ranging from zero to more than $400. I e-mailed US customs and then sent me to a government link that said everything was on a case by case basis when the value is over $1000. None of the shipping companies were of much help either. I just dont want to place an order only to find out that I have to pay hundreds more. Thanks for your help.

Depends on the value of the notebook, but it's most likely going to be several hundred dollars.
