I want to install XP on my VGN-FW550F. I have windows 7 pre-installed on my notebook. I dont like so i want XP as OS.
If I boot the XP-CD. it loads the files, and after a while it gives me the blue screen of death with this code:
    Code:
    STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8B54524, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
What's the problem? Someone on a other forum told me that i can't install XP if i have a newer version of Windows. I just formatted my C:\ and deleted 7. But i still can't install it.

    Sorry for the cr*ppy English

It's cool about the English, people from ALL over the world post in this forum! But it could have something to do with your installation disks. Are they scratched at all? And if not is your FW Blu-Ray enabled?

I have 2 XP-CDs. 64 bit and 32 bit. x64 is a CD-RW disk full with scratches and x86 doesn't have any scratches. I get the BSOD on both disks.

I don't know if my notebook is Blu-Ray enabled. How can you see that?

XP doesn't support SATA hard drives. You need to slipstream or use a floppy drive to install SATA driver before the installation.

When you go into the bios, what is the model number for the optical drive, and I'll tell you most likely what your problem is...

Beat me to it!..lol :D He's right. XP doesn't support SATA drives without being a slipstreamed SP3 install disk, or doing it the way he suggested.

Yep, that's a SATA Blu-Ray drive. Way to advanced for XP..lol. Your only options for XP are above.

Can someone help me to find a driver for me to slipstream it into my XP CD? I already tried Intel(R) ICH9 SATA AHCIController (Desktop ICH9R), but it doesn't work if i boot my XP-CD. It tells me that iastor.sys won't work. The driver I've got is a driver for x86 and the XP-CD of mine is x64.

I think i need the driver: Intel® ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Driver.
    You can find it at:
    http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNFW550F
under Hard Drives. But it is a .exe file and i need a .inf file.
