    Has anyone successfully installed 8GB RAM (4GBx2) with Sony FW1xx laptop? The Sony pdf file only specifies 4GB max but the spec for FW2xx is 8GB max and the two models have very similar motherboards. I am going to buy Win 7 64-bit along with the memory if it will work.

    If the chipset and cpu allows then you shouldn't have a problem. My F1 was told by Sony pdf max limit was 8gb and I got 16gb installed.
