    I tried to search but couldn't find a direct answer.
    Is there a way to install the new 11.8 version on the hybrid VAIOs?
    (without loosing its functionality)

    I have a SB with Radeon HD 6630M.

    More or less yes if you are looking to upgrade just the AMD portion download the mobility 11.8 driver and UPGRADE. (DO NOT UNINSTALL YOUR ORIGINAL DRIVERS, THIS IS WHAT KEEPS THE SWITCH FUNCTIONALITY.) Direct link to mobility 11.8 is located in the post linked.
