Is it possible to install Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.8GHz X9000 with Sony FZ 4000 CTO? The Thermal Design Power is 44W for Core 2 Extreme and 35W for Core 2 Duo T9500 2.6GHz (the fastest CPU it can officially support).

With the TDP's being different, not recommended at all. The laptop will overheat with the new one.
