I read that these are available in beta form, said to be released for Thinkpads only, and said to run only in Windows 8 consumer preview - sorry, lost the source.

Anyone have an update on this? Pyro?

Oh, are those really supposed to have TRIM? I installed those off station drivers last week but went back to the old ones since they didn't seem to work with the Intel RST control panel nor with hard disk sentinel.

I should probably check it again because I recall that Windows 8's defrag utility allows you to manually tell a disk to run TRIM.

Forget that driver, it does not work (even on W8CP). I don't want to see my array crashed by such a crappy beta driver (the alpha that is out for almost a year now was super unstable as well). Let's wait for the real thing.

Pyr0, what is your sense of the ETA for the "real thing?"

My guesstimation is Q2/2012, so probably in 3-6 weeks.

You could also install the 11.0 RST driver if you want a later driver, but honestly I don't notice the difference.
