InterVideo WinDVD 8 for VAIO

I just found out any Sony Model with original WinDVD 8 for VAIO will work

Can anyone who owns a Sony Notebook pls kindly

I just formated my SZ480 CTO and lost all drivers & utilities
I dont know what I was thinking
OS is Vista Business, bad luck I cant watch DVD's
U will find original drivers/utilities in the recovery drive or C:

well you said you have reformatted the drive. not "reparitioned" it. therefor you still have your recovery partition. power on your vaio then press F10 key in succession. you should be taken to the recovery screen.

 

why not use vlc (it's free) then stream the dvd contents by going file - stream - locate your device

why don't you try to stream your dvd vids using the method i told you earlier. if you're desperate enought you'd try it. it's actually good. much better than any other player i have

i have deleted a lot of software that came with my vaio. windvd was one of them. why? because VLC PLAYS EVERYTHING!

But it is a trial, and not the Sony-Edition.

 

Hmmm... I still prefer CyberLink PowerDVD. But either way, WinDVD has this cool interface like Windows Media Player 11. Another question, have you tried creating a recovery DVD?

yes i tried but failed since i already lost recovery partition

i don't know if it will work without the existing WinDVD installation. But try it first. If it didn't, i'll try to upload the one in the sony installation DVD.

it gives an error message when i try to install
its says it requires a previous WinDVD installation
i think its an update ver
so i installed WinDVD trial ver and tried d update again
well it didnt work
it requires the preinstalled sony ver
i thought i could pull a fast one there

hope i aint pushing my luck
can i ask for another favor
can you post a pic of d drivers & utilities folder
i just wana have an idea of what i'm missing
also can you upload VAIO Central
