So weird, about 3 times now (not in a row) I've booted up and had my mouse operating backwards (up and down, down is up, right is left...)

No mouse settings do this that i can find in vista. rebooting doesn't always fix the problem. anyone else deal w/this?

Like many suspect, the problem is hardware related, not software.
It is due to the aluminum palm-rest surrounding the touch-pad. I'm not sure if it is a short circuit or a bad ground. But all you need to repair this problem is a little electrical tape. Check out this site for details (and pics) on how to use the tape to insulate the touch-pad:

Also you may need help dismantelling the laptop go to this site:

    Finally!!!

I have the same problem on an SZ370P running Vista Business. Anyone know of a software fix for this? The touchpad works fine in Linux (laptop is dual-booted). Thanks in advance!
