Hi, I just got an FW290 with the Radeon 3650 GPU. I have a Panasonic plasma display with a native resolution of 1360 x 768. I cannot, however, get the GPU to output at that resolution. It's not available in the dropdown on the Catalyst or on the Windows display properties. The only place I see that resolution is on the Vaio Control Panel, but there it's greyed out.
All of my older laptops with intergrated graphics could match this resolution I can't believe that this card cannot. Sony rep told me that it can't though. Can someone help me out. Thank in advance.

You mean 1366x768. Weird. Haven't tried mine yet, but I hope it works as my 32inch LCD is a 1366x768 tv.

I was able to scale 1024 x 768 to fit my display properly using the Catalyst. However, for watching Blu-ray, at that resolution scaled, the movies look like they were filmed in a very wide aspect ratio. So, I went with 1960 x 1080 and scaled that, and the movie aspect ratio looks proper.
Text, on the other hand, at 1080 loses a lot of sharpness on my display. -
err not sure how I did what I did, but I am running the 8.11 catalyst driver.
and if you go to the catalyst control centre and click on display manager you should get the new resolutions, and also in vista, I can change the displays to a wide variety as well.
This though might have something to do with the fact that I connected my FW to our bravia and all of a sudden all of these resolutions popped up.btw the 1920x1080 resolution gets cut off on your bravia, not sure why, the one that works is the 1680x1050 correctly, not sure why, the tv has the same resolution as the laptop.
bah just figured it out, it is called overscanning, wonder if I can fix it on the tv.
Is 1360 x 768 possible with Radeon 3650?
