Last week a salesman in the Sony Style located in the New York corporate headquarters building told me that a replacement for the TT would be out before the end of the year.

I tend not to believe people who have no specifics.

To me, a replacement for the TT would not be the X but would have, at the minimum, specifications like the last Z with the TT form factor and certainly including a 1080p screen and an optical drive.

Does anyone have any credible information to share?

There's no credible info on a new 11" computer like the TT.

There's rumors of the new Android Tablet that'll come out at the end of the year as well as the true Z successor during summertime.

I read an announcement the other day about an android sliding tablet pc the other day (possibly dual boot). I reckon Sony will at least make one attempt at the tablet market. Will see how they compete with Apple on this front.

Sad to read the above. It would be great to have a TT replacement with HD, SSD and an i7. I guess I can dream
