    Is Crucial right (FZ4 RAM question)?

    I sent the following question to Crucial.com

    Hi, I have Sony laptop FZ4000 CTO. According to your website, my laptop is compatible with PC2-6400(800 MHz) and PC2-5300(667 MHz). Does it mean that if I install PC2-6400 it will really run at 800 MHz or will it be downclocked to 667 MHz. There is no setting in the BIOS to change the RAM clock setting so I don't know how the RAM will react.

    Is he right? The stock RAM installed with my system is PC2-5300(667 MHz). Is it correct what he said, the BIOS would automatically change the clock to 800MHz if I install PC2-6400 RAM?
