    Is It OK to Install ATI CCC 8.1 on FW?

    All reviews indicate that the newest CCC package is more stable and gives better performance than previous ones. So

    Does anyone know whether the Radeon 34XX card in the FW requires a special driver by SONY? I hope NOT!

    By 8.1, you mean 8.10, no? :p It is perfectly fine to use the desktop drivers using Mobility Modder to modify the driver to work on the laptop. See here for more information: http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php

    I am actually running on Catalyst 8.10 and driver 8.541 now and no problems though when I did update from the factory drivers to 8.8, I did see a decrease of 1 fps but I haven't compared any benchmarks for the newer drivers.
