Is the TZ190 really that much better than the TZ150? It's almost a thousand dollars more and I was just wondering what the main differences were?

If I do buy a Sony, is there any place you'd recommend buying it from? Any deals going on for the Sony TZ series?

I personally think the TZ190 is well worth the extra money, assuming you can afford it. The main differences are the faster processor (1.2Ghz vs. 1.06), 2GB RAM (vs. 1) and the SSD (vs. very slow 4200rpm traditional HDD). The last two especially improve performance, though there are people here happy with their TZ150s. :)

So it's alot faster? Is the startup time a lot faster, too?

Yes, startup is a faster. You do have to remove all the "bundled software" installed by Sony, though.

    Hi there,

I saw that you own the TZ195 with the 48 GB SSD...is it faster than the model with the 32 GB SSD?

I think the 48 and 64GB ones are faster than the older generation 32GB SSDs (like the one in my G1), but if the 32GB is of a newer generation, it's probably faster as well.
