With all the Ivy Bridge refreshes, is Sony planning on releasing a new Vaio F series?

Apparently not. Sony does not like selling hardware at common prices. VPC-F 3D series lost half in price over a year as people weren't keen on paying 2000 Euros. Sony obviously decided to pull the plug.

About 3-4 years ago there was an AW-Series with exceptional qualities and sadly premium price of 3000 Euros. Many wanted it few actually bought it.

Quite possible Sony will introduce more expensive hardware in the future and they will all undoubtedly suffer the same short life. Apparently there is no more space for premium price tickers on the mainstream market. You have to show something premium just to distinguish yourself from the competitors, and don't expect to be paid extra bucks.
