Just saw a rather disturbing article and decided to check here before applying the update.
http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-blocks-windows-10-creators-update-on-some-pcs/
It says some devices using certain processors are now unable to run the Windows 10 CU, despite the fact that they are less than 3 years old. Our VPCZ1s are now around 7 years old. Wonder how long our hardware will be supported.
If you are running Windows 10 Creator's Update on a VPCZ1 without issues, please let me know.

I think they're technically not supported because of the hybrid graphics, but they're not blocked from installing as such.

I'm running it on VGN-Z which is even older than yours. Despite the usual nvidia driver issue, solved by BIOS hack, no issues so far.

1. Disk Cleanup, CClean, Reboot to STAMINA
2. Start Upgrade Installation from Windows Update
3. Upgrade will run and do several restarts. WU installs Gfx driver for Intel GPU.
4. Check Device Manager
5. Cut LAN & WLAN connection, Switch to SPEED
6. SHIFT Restart to F7 / Unsigned Drivers Mode
7. Check Device Manager
8. Check that WU is not active
9. Re-connect WLAN and immediately hide unwanted Microsoft NV drivers using WUSHOWHIDE
10. Install latest NVIDIA drivers
11. Reboot.
The cutting of LAN&WLAN and WUSHOWHIDE exercise may not be relevant to you, but I use it as WU tried to deliver me an updated Nvidia driver (!!) which didn't work correctly for me.anytimer likes this.
Is anyone running Windows 10 Creator's Update on VPCZ1?
