DaCheese reported that his battery rattles during movement of the notebook. Is this an anomoly or it is something that is common to all the FEs?

well it rattles but I never noticed it until I saw this thread

it doesn't really bother me though. it doesn't affect the performance or my ability to carry the thing.

Wow, stuff like that can really get a guy down in the dumps... :(

I wish it was just perfect.....perfect.....

I hope there is a way to stop it, somehow.

My VAIO TR also has that "problem"

Don't care about it. The notebook is not going to loose connection with the battery.

Anyway, you can put a little piece of paper/cardboard between the battery and the notebook, to remove any rattling. ( Same trick as in old VAIOs or Nokia Phones :D )

Judging from the amount of different models that have the problem you would have to say its something Sony designs into the specification, perhaps to draw attention from other things :)

I was wondering that myself too. The team leader goes around looks at the prototype. "Great job guys, looks perfect. But you know, I really like rattling batteries, so just make sure the battery rattles in the end.".... sigh, so just because some guy at Sony thinks loose batteries are the latest trend is why we have to keep up with this..

Is this only related to Sony laptops? Does other brand have no rattling problem?
