    Hi. question is in the title. Is it possible that Sony VAIO F12 turns on with black screen and nothing more?

    I can tell you about my VGN-Z590: when I was replacing broken keypad (some of the buttons were not working), at first I didn't fully plug those tiny connectors (connecting keypad and laptop body,below the trackpad area). Laptop did boot, but (obviously) I couldn't use it as keypad wasn't responding. In second try I managed to secure connection better.
