I tried many laptops before finally getting VPCSC. I love everything about this laptop except the screen resolution being too small... I wanted a portable laptop so I can't really complain there, but I regret that SA might have been a better chioce with better resolution.

Lets say if I can get a LCD panel for VPCSA. Would it be a direct replacement for SC's LCD? Would it be basically plug and play? Or would it just not fit or cause many headaches? Has anyone tried it?

Hmm... I'd say it *might* be possible... especially since the SA/SB/SC/SD are all essentially the same models (albeit with slightly different aesthetics & materials). Unless someone has opened up a SB and shown the display connection and the SA and shown that one, you can't really know for certain, but some SA's do come with 720p screen i believe, and that i'm 99% certain is the same panel as the SB's 720p display...

even if it fits physically, there *might* be a problem with software? Probably not, but that is a risk too.

I don't know how much the SA panel would cost, but I'm inclined to think you'd do as well economically - and have a better result - if you sold your SC and bought an SA. Changing screens always has the potential to break tiny connectors and such and since the price of the SA has fallen to $800 - $900 with the 900p screen - now the only one sold with the SA - you should be able to do the sell/buy for around $250-$300, which is probably about what the SA screen will cost you.
