    Is it safe to use the FW with a broken DC IN power port?

    Let's say for arguements sake that the barrel housing of the DC IN on the Vaio FW snapped and became wobbly, would it be safe to use it as a desktop or would the person be risking an electric shock or damaging their computer?

    It's a VAIO sickness! can you post some pictures they might help but i'll say generally it shouldn't be a problem!

    you shouldn't be risking much of a shock since it's only 19V. But you definitely could cause further damage to the laptop, yes.
