    (tl;dr version at the bottom)
First, let me start off by saying hi. ^_^

Anyways, I wanna enjoy StarCraft 2, but there's one problem, and that
    is my fan.
My computer is a Sony Vaio F Series
    Model Number is: VPCF121FX.
Its a great notebook, but the fan is just so loud!
The fan acts up when I'm doing just about anything (except for surfing the web).
Even when I play Runescape (which is a game that you directly play from your browser) the fan gets loud.

I only got this notebook in July 2010, did it collect that much dust already?
I know it can handle SC2 on medium settings, but the temperatures of my computer go up to 66 degrees. Seriously.
    Aight, I gotta stop rambling.
So, do you guys think there's something wrong with my fan because it pisses me off. =D

tl;dr - My computer can handle playing Starcraft 2 on medium settings but the fan gets really loud. I just got this laptop in July 2010. Is my fan defected.

First : do you use your laptop on a solid surface ? using it directly on a bed/your knees will obstruct the air entrance and cause overheating that will lead to fan loudness.

Second : 66°C is not that hot, some people here in the forum got CPU up to 87°C without beeing worried. Of course the fan get loud but remember it is a laptop, you can't expect silence and performance when playing games.

Third : Online flash games running directly from your browser can be CPU intensive or use GPU if you got flash 10.1 and a compatible GPU. It will generate heat and activate the fan.

Fourth : Do you use it in a quiet environnement ? and does your ear stand less than 10cm away from the fan ? Cause it appears to be the problem of many people who complained about vaio Z fan loudness several months ago.

It should be more accurate if you could tell what temperature get your CPU and GPU during playing SCII (cause if it's 66°C and your fan is actively cooling it down I think it's ok, really).
