    I'm thinking about buying/customizing a sony FE 890, but is it worth buying?

    i have a FE-790 that i customized (they are basically the same computer) and i love it. The screen is so crisp and i love the way that it looks. I get compliments all the time. Highly recommended.

    The build quality of Sony FE series is not good.So I don't think it's a cost effective choice.
    I think it'll be much better if you go for ASUS (judging from your What notebook should I buy - You can buy some very good ASUS laptop like V1Jp and G1 and even ASUS Lamborgini VX2)
    Note : Sony does not make laptops in fact it gets some of it's high quality laptop from ASUS.Plus, ASUS NA support is really superb.
