    My palm rest is in great condition, but I realize that over time it will likely fade due to its plastic construction. Is the palmrest replaceable/can it be seperated from the keyboard? Any word on price, cost and how to remove it?

    Yes I could protect it with plastic, but would rather not lose the matte texture to the palm rest and deal with the degraded aesthetic.
