    I have the sony vaio VPCEC (I'll post specs at the bottom of this post.) I was wondering if I could possibly put in a second hard drive, preferably a SSD. Is this a possibility?

    It has two HDD bays, but if you only ordered it with one HDD, the second bay probably won't have the connector in it. Worth checking, though.

    So, Hungry Man, did you managed to put the SSD in the 2nd bay? Or does anybody know more about upgrading the EC's secondary bay?

    Also seen your reply on the Sony forum (saying about a different mobo)... Are you sure it's about a different motherboard, or just a missing SATA cable/connector? From the pictures at http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Sony-Vaio-VPC-EC1M1E-Notebook.29668.0.html I think it misses:
    - !maybe! the connector on the mobo;
    - that plate/connector which fits the HDD;
    - the cable between them.

    Does anybody have an EC to confirm/infirm? Can't believe nobody played with the 2nd bay yet. C'mon, EC screams for such upgrade (SSD+HDD).

    People, did anybody ever heard of the "premium" display on any Vaio model of being glossy?
    I'm asking because I just received my EC with the premium display and it's glossy (and I wanted a matte one).
